Johannes Knud Ove Jais-Nielsen (23 April 1885-November 8, 1961) was a Danish painter, designer and ceramist, best known for the religious figure groups that he designed for the Royal Copenhagen pottery. Nielsen's art was influenced by Cubism which he encountered in Paris. The stoneware bowl with a green and brown glaze shows a bearded man's head as the central motif. 1920s
